The body of my work is based on the fundamental concept that science and art cannot be separated. To assume a separation denies one the full palette of creativity. All creative work, inspired or contrived, has a science component. Part of the same cultural continuum, these elements have an inseparable relationship. To quote E.O. Wilson, “The love of complexity without reductionism makes art; the love of complexity with reductionism makes science.” The love of complexity drives my work. Add to the creative palette, time, the fourth dimension, and you have the engine of the poetic. The artists' work is representative of the time they inhabit and therefore must be understood, embraced, and present in all creative work.
